When traveling to Saudi Arabia for umrah, the pilgrims will pay a visit to Medina and stay there for a few days. However, visiting Medina is not obligatory. This is the city where Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu ‘alaihi Wa Sallam lived after hijra from Mecca.
